Léo habite dans une grande ville. Il aime regarder tous les transports dans la rue : les voitures, les motos, et même les gros camions. Aujourd'hui, il part en voyage pour voir sa grand-mère, qui habite près de la mer.
Léo lives in a big city. He likes watching all the traffic in the street: cars, motorbikes, and even big trucks. Today, he is leaving on a trip to see his grandmother, who lives near the sea.
Le matin, Léo prend son vélo pour aller à l'arrêt de bus. Il n'aime pas conduire une voiture en ville, c'est trop difficile. Il attend le bus avec d'autres personnes.
In the morning, Léo takes his bicycle to get to the bus stop. He doesn't like driving a car in the city, it's too hard. He waits for the bus with other people.
Léo regarde l'horaire à l'arrêt de bus. Le bus arrive à l'heure. Il monte dans le bus avec son sac. Prendre le bus le matin, c'est facile et pas cher.
Léo looks at the timetable at the bus stop. The bus arrives on time. He gets on the bus with his bag. Taking the bus in the morning is easy and cheap.
Le bus l'amène près du métro. Léo descend du bus et entre dans la station de métro. Il achète un ticket, puis il monte dans le métro. Il doit changer de ligne une fois pour aller à la gare.
The bus takes him near the metro. Léo gets off the bus and goes into the metro station. He buys a ticket, then gets on the metro. He has to change line once to get to the train station.
À la gare, Léo achète un billet de train. Il regarde l'horaire encore une fois : son train part du quai numéro trois. Il ne veut pas manquer le train, alors il marche vite.
At the train station, Léo buys a train ticket. He checks the timetable once more: his train leaves from platform number three. He doesn't want to miss the train, so he walks fast.
Léo monte dans le train et trouve sa place près de la fenêtre. Après deux heures, il descend du train à la gare près de la mer. L'air sent déjà le sel.
Léo gets on the train and finds his seat near the window. After two hours, he gets off the train at the station near the sea. The air already smells like salt.
À la gare de la mer, Léo prend un taxi pour aller chez sa grand-mère. Le taxi coûte un peu cher, mais c'est rapide. Sa grand-mère habite près de la plage.
At the seaside station, Léo takes a taxi to go to his grandmother's house. The taxi is a bit expensive, but it's fast. His grandmother lives near the beach.
Le lendemain, ils prennent le tramway pour visiter la ville. Le tramway passe devant la mer, c'est très joli. Ils descendent du tramway près d'un petit port.
The next day, they take the tram to visit the town. The tram goes past the sea, it is very pretty. They get off the tram near a small port.
Au port, ils montent dans un bateau pour une petite promenade sur l'eau. Léo adore regarder les autres bateaux, et il aime beaucoup ce moment avec sa grand-mère.
At the port, they get on a boat for a short trip on the water. Léo loves watching the other boats, and he really enjoys this moment with his grandmother.
Un jour, ils veulent visiter un village à la montagne. Ils prennent le car, mais sur la route, il y a un grand embouteillage. Le conducteur reste calme, mais les passagers regardent leur montre : le car va être en retard.
One day, they want to visit a village in the mountains. They take the coach, but on the road there is a big traffic jam. The driver stays calm, but the passengers look at their watches: the coach is going to be late.
Pour rentrer, ils prennent le train régional. À la station, Léo doit valider son ticket avant de monter. Il a un aller-retour, alors il n'a pas besoin d'un nouveau billet. Il y a une correspondance dans une petite gare, et Léo trouve une place libre. Le soir, sur le port, des enfants passent à côté d'eux en trottinette.
To get back, they take the regional train. At the station, Léo has to validate his ticket before getting on. He has a return ticket, so he doesn't need a new one. There is a connection at a small station, and Léo finds a free seat. In the evening, on the harbour, some children ride past them on scooters.
Le dernier jour, Léo va à l'aéroport pour prendre l'avion et rentrer chez lui. Il montre son billet, puis il monte dans l'avion. Il pense déjà à son prochain voyage.
On the last day, Léo goes to the airport to take the plane and go back home. He shows his ticket, then gets on the plane. He is already thinking about his next trip.
