La météo et les saisons
Léo adore la météo. Il commence un journal météo pour l'école. Au printemps, il fait beau et il y a du soleil. Léo est très content.
Léo loves the weather. He starts a weather journal for school. In spring, the weather's nice and it's sunny. Léo is very happy.
L'après-midi, il y a des nuages dans le ciel. Il y a aussi du vent, et le vent souffle fort. Bientôt, il pleut.
In the afternoon, there are clouds in the sky. It's also windy, and the wind blows hard. Soon, it rains.
Léo aime le bruit de la pluie sur la fenêtre. Quand la pluie s'arrête, le soleil revient. Il voit un bel arc-en-ciel dans le ciel et prend une photo.
Léo likes the sound of the rain on the window. When the rain stops, the sun comes back. He sees a beautiful rainbow in the sky and takes a photo.
En été, il fait chaud. Léo n'aime pas beaucoup la chaleur. Il boit de l'eau fraîche et il reste à l'ombre.
In summer, it's hot. Léo doesn't like the heat very much. He drinks cold water and stays in the shade.
Un soir d'été, il y a un orage. L'orage fait beaucoup de bruit, avec des éclairs dans le ciel. La tempête dure une heure, puis elle finit.
One summer evening, there's a thunderstorm. The thunderstorm makes a lot of noise, with lightning in the sky. The storm lasts an hour, then it ends.
En automne, le temps change souvent. Un grand nuage gris couvre le soleil, et il fait mauvais presque chaque jour.
In autumn, the weather changes often. One big gray cloud covers the sun, and the weather's bad almost every day.
Le matin, il y a du brouillard. Le brouillard est épais, et Léo ne voit pas bien la rue. Il marche lentement pour aller à l'école.
In the morning, it's foggy. The fog is thick, and Léo can't see the street well. He walks slowly to get to school.
En hiver, il fait froid. Un matin, il neige pour la première fois. Léo regarde la neige tomber, et tout devient blanc dehors.
In winter, it's cold. One morning, it snows for the first time. Léo watches the snow fall, and everything turns white outside.
En hiver, Léo regarde la météo à la télévision tous les soirs. Un jour, la température descend à moins cinq degrés : il gèle ! Le matin, il y a du verglas sur la route, et son père conduit très lentement.
In winter, Léo watches the weather forecast on TV every evening. One day, the temperature drops to minus five degrees: it's freezing! In the morning there is black ice on the road, and his father drives very slowly.
En mars, il fait doux à nouveau. Mais un après-midi, il y a de la grêle, puis un orage. Léo voit un éclair et il entend le tonnerre. Il écrit dans son journal : « Chaque saison a ses surprises. »
In March, it's mild again. But one afternoon there is hail, then a storm. Léo sees lightning and hears thunder. He writes in his journal: "Every season has its surprises."
À la fin de l'année, le journal de Léo est complet. Il a vu le soleil, la pluie, le vent, la neige, le brouillard et même un orage. Léo adore chaque saison, avec sa météo différente.
At the end of the year, Léo's journal is complete. He has seen sun, rain, wind, snow, fog, and even a thunderstorm. Léo loves every season, each with its own different weather.
